Product Overview
SMT Reel Trolleys from Propack Electronics are engineered for the demanding environment of surface-mount technology production lines. They provide organised, ESD-safe storage for component tape reels at the line side, in the component store, or during kit preparation. Each trolley is manufactured from conductive polypropylene (PP) with a conductive steel frame, ensuring a continuous ESD discharge path from reel-to-floor at all times.
The dual-tier design accommodates both 7-inch (standard component reels) and 13-inch (bulk/large-count reels) simultaneously on the same trolley. Labelling pockets at each reel position allow part-number and barcode labelling for inventory accuracy and first-in-first-out (FIFO) management during kitting and changeovers.

Dual-Tier Reel Storage
Upper tier for 7″ reels (up to 30 reels); lower tier for 13″ reels (up to 20 reels). Total capacity of 50 reels per trolley on the standard model.
Conductive Throughout
Conductive PP dividers, conductive steel frame, and conductive rubber castors ensure full ESD continuity. Surface resistivity <10⁶ Ω on all product contact surfaces.
Per-Slot Label Holders
Individual label card pockets at each reel slot for part number, IPN, quantity, and date-code labelling — supports FIFO and kitting workflow accuracy.
Lockable Lid Option
Optional conductive PP cover with lock prevents unauthorised access to reels and protects components from contamination during storage or transport between buildings.
Modular Stacking
Trolleys feature top-surface locating pins to allow secure stacking (2 high) for high-density storage in component warehouses without risk of toppling.
Colour-Coding Available
Frame finish in custom RAL colours for visual management — red for fast-movers, blue for slow-movers, yellow for quarantine stock, etc.

Applications
Workflow Integration

Receive & Label
Upon goods-in, print label with IPN, quantity, and date code. Slot the reel into its designated position on the trolley and insert the label card.

Store ESD-Safe
Trolley maintains continuous ESD discharge path. Store in component warehouse or staging area on ESD floor with castors contacting the floor surface.

Kit & Pick
Operator (wearing wrist strap or using ESD footwear) picks reels from the trolley using the label card as a pick list guide. FIFO enforced by labelling convention.

Line-Side Delivery
Roll the trolley to the SMT machine line side. The conductive castors maintain ESD continuity throughout transit on the ESD floor.

Load & Return
Feed reels into placement machine. Return partially used reels to their labelled slot immediately. Lock the trolley when not in active use.
