ESD Definations
- Electrostatic Shielding : Material having Resistance of < 10^3 Ohms is a Shielding material which prevent the static charge to pass through it.
- Electrostatic Conductive : Material having resistance of <10^4 Ohms is called Electrostatic Conductive.
- Electrostatic Dissipative : Material having resistance of > 10^4 ohms and less then 10^11 ohms is called Electrostatic Dissipative.
- Insulative : Material having resistance >=10^11 ohms is Insulative.
- Neutralization : It is required to neutralize the charge present on the Non-ground able material inside an EPA.
- Ohm : Unit of Electrical resistance.
- Earth Grounding Point : A connector such as a stud, usually fixed to be bench mat or wrist band to which a grounding cord can be fixed is known as Earth grounding point.
